Desert lavender is a native Sonoran Desert shrub and has been used traditionally by indigenous peoples, early settlers, and modern herbalists her in the Southwest. Its fragrant leaves are a great addition to your water bottle when you’re out on a hike, and the beautiful purple flowers are a favorite for honeybees. It’s wonderful on the skin and is also used internally as a refreshing tea. The lotion’s subtle scent is cozy, earthy, and refreshing on your skin as well. It’s gentle enough to use on skin anywhere: face, feet, and anywhere in between.
Ingredients:
Locally and responsibly sourced tallow that’s been infused with Sonoran desert lavender; locally sourced beeswax.
Our Desert Lavender is offered in four forms:
Solid tallow lotion bars, large and small sizes, are poured into beautiful molds and packaged in hand- folded origami boxes. They have a generous amount of locally sourced beeswax in the formula. To use, simply hold the bar in your hand and rub into dry skin. Large bars are 3 ounces; small ones are 3/4 ounce.
Tallow lotion sticks are packaged in a biodegradable push-up tube. The formula is the same as the lotion bars. To use, push up from the bottom and rub on skin. These are great for travel. Size is 70 ml.
Creamy tallow lotion is made with significantly less beeswax, making a soft, creamy lotion. It’s packaged in a 4 ounce reusable glass jar.
